When first of Him you hear,
Perhaps you say, “I fear
To meet Him as I am”;
“O child,” He says, “you need not fear,
I love you, and I want you near,
I’ll meet you as you are.”
Again I hear you say,
“If I but knew the way,
I’d meet Him as I am;”
He answers, “Come, without delay,
I’m the true and living way,
I’ll meet you where you are.”
You say, “I see it now,
For He has showed me how;
By faith, I meet Him here;
I trust His word, I bow the knee,
And wait the time when I shall see
And meet Him in the air.”
