"Meekness."

JESUS says, “I am Meek and lowly in heart.” Matt. 11:2929Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. (Matthew 11:29). And in different places in the Bible, He tells us to be meek. If a little child is proud or vain, and thinks he is better than his playmates, he is not meek. To be meek he must not be thinking how good he is, but he must take a lowly, humble place, which is pleading to God. “God resisteth the proud and giveth grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:55Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. (1 Peter 5:5). The Lord hates a proud look. (Prov. 6:1717A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, (Proverbs 6:17).)
Be of meek and lowly spirit; be willing to take a low place here, and God will exalt you and give you a very high place after a while.
