In the latter times some shall depart from the faith . . . forbidding to marry.
1 Timothy 4:1-3
God established marriage as the norm for men and women. He designed marriage and performed the first marriage ceremony. The Lord Jesus performed His first miracle at a wedding feast. So for a church to teach that it is wrong for some to marry is not according to the Scripture. When man’s rules override and contradict God’s standards, we know that they have left the way of truth.
