“Malchiah” From Boyd’s Bible Dictionary:

(king). (1) A Levite (1 Chron. 6:40⁴⁰The son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchiah, (1 Chronicles 6:40)). (2) Jeremiah’s prison-keeper (Jer. 38:6⁶Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire. (Jeremiah 38:6)). (3) Returned captives (Ezra 10:25,31²⁵Moreover of Israel: of the sons of Parosh; Ramiah, and Jeziah, and Malchiah, and Miamin, and Eleazar, and Malchijah, and Benaiah. (Ezra 10:25)

(royal). A priest (Jer. 21:1¹The word which came unto Jeremiah from the Lord, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying, (Jeremiah 21:1)).

1. Son of Ethni, a Gershonite (1 Chron. 6:40⁴⁰The son of Michael, the son of Baaseiah, the son of Malchiah, (1 Chronicles 6:40)).

2.
