Little Max Loves the Lord Jesus

Listen from:
Little Max was just four years old when he asked the Lord Jesus to wash his sins away. He was so happy that he called Grandpa and Grandma right away to tell them! That’s how it is when you know your sins are forgiven. You can hardly wait to tell others your good news!
Not long after this, he told his little friends about Jesus too. He said, “If you want to go to heaven, you need to have your sins washed away!” And he was right; the Lord Jesus is the only One who can wash away sins. “The blood of Jesus Christ [God’s] Son [cleanses] us from all sin” (1 John 1:77But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:7)).
A few years later, Max and his little sister were staying with Grandpa and Grandma for a week while his parents went on a trip. Each evening after supper, Grandpa read the Bible, followed by questions. Then before bedtime was story time. Grandma would lie on the bed with the children nestled on either side.
The story one evening was from the Bible about Peter and Cornelius. When Grandma finished reading, she explained that Cornelius was a good man who feared God, but when Peter told him about the Lord Jesus, he believed and accepted Him as his very own Saviour.
Then Max said, “Now Cornelius is a saint, and I will see him in heaven! And I will see Moses and Abraham too.” And Grandma added that he would see Peter and Paul and many others too. Then Max added, “But best of all I will see Jesus!”
We hope that this story will reach into the hearts of other boys and girls and that they will ask the Lord Jesus to wash away their sins too. “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:1313For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)).
