The futurity of the ascension is perfectly right in {vi 126259}{/vi}. But here it is a proleptic character attached to the Person of the Lord; and hence to express this no tense was so proper as the perfect, the present continuance of a past act. The seeming anomalies of scripture are most instructive when understood.
