Jesus Is God

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1).

“Unto the Son [the Lord Jesus Christ] He saith, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of Thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord [the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ], in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Thine hands [see John 1:3; Colossians 1:16-17]: they shall perish; but Thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; and as a vesture shalt Thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail” (Hebrews 1:8-12).
“The Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14).

“Behold, I [Jehovah] will send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me [Jehovah]: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, He shall come, saith the Lord [Jehovah] of hosts” (Malachi 3:1).
“The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; as it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send My messenger before Thy face, which shall prepare Thy way before Thee. The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord [Jehovah], make His paths straight. John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins” (Mark 1:14; see Matthew 11:10).

Jesus said, “But now have they both seen and hated both Me and My Father  .  .  .  that the word might be fulfilled  .  .  .  , They hated Me without a cause” (John 15:2425; see Psalm 64:4; 109:25).

“So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. And the Lord [Jehovah] said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I [Jehovah] was prized at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the Lord [Jehovah]” (Zechariah 11:12-13).
“Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, and said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver Him [Jesus — Jah or Jehovah] unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver” (Matthew 26:14-15).
“Thus saith the Lord [Jehovah] that created the heavens; God Himself that formed the earth and made it; He hath established it, He created it not in vain, He formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord [Jehovah]; and there is none else.  .  .  .  I the Lord [Jehovah] speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.  .  .  .  I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by Myself, the word is gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto Me [Jehovah] every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear” (Isaiah 45:18-19,22-23).
“That at the name of Jesus [Jah or Jehovah] every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth [things infernal]; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10-11; see Revelation 5:11-14).
“Then shall the Lord [Jehovah] go forth, and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle. And His feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west” (Zechariah 14:34).
“Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus [Jah or Jehovah], which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven. Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey” (Acts 1:11-12).
“And, behold, I [Jesus] come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I [Jesus] am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” (Revelation 22:12-13).
