Jesus calls to you, dear children
And His words are words of love: “Come to Me, receive My blessing—Come to Me, and live above.”
“But,” you say, “He lives in heaven, How can I approach Him there?” Listen then to what He utters—
Thus His gracious words declare—
“For My love to ruined sinners
To this wretched world I came,
Here I died to make atonement,
Justice now no more can claim.
“Children now in Me believing Everlasting life receive:
Come in faith, to Me for pardon—
I have died that thou may’st live.”
