• As a result of the fall of the great city, “the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places” are in the hands of Cyrus. We see here an allusion to the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had carried to Babylon, being restored, as recorded in Ezra 1:7-11. (“Isaiah 45” by F.B. Hole)
