4Pharaoh's chariots and his army hath he cast into the sea;{HR}His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red Sea.{HR}
5The depths covered them; they sank to the bottom as a stone.{HR}
6Thy right hand, Jehovah, is become glorious in power:{HR}Thy right hand, Jehovah, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.{HR}
7And by the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown thine adversaries:{HR}Thou sentest forth thy burning wrath, it consumed them as stubble.{HR}
8And by the breath of thy nostrils the waters were heaped up;{HR}The streams stood as a mound;{HR}The depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.{HR}
9The enemy said, I will pursue,{HR}I will overtake, I will divide the spoil;{HR}My soul shall be sated upon them;{HR}I will unsheath my sword, my hand shall dispossess them.{HR}
10Thou didst blow with thy breath, the sea covered them;{HR}They sank as lead in the mighty waters.{HR}
11Who is like unto thee, Jehovah, among the gods?{HR}Who is like unto thee, glorifying thyself in holiness,{HR}Fearful in praises, doing wonders?{HR}
12Thou stretchedst out thy right hand,{HR}The earth swallowed them.{HR}
13Thou by thy mercy hast led forth the people that thou hast redeemed;{HR}Thou hast guided them by thy strength unto the abode of thy holiness.{HR}
14The peoples heard it, they were afraid:{HR}A thrill seized the inhabitants of Philistia.{HR}
15Then the princes of Edom were amazed;{HR}The mighty men of Moab, trembling hath seized them;{HR}All the inhabitants of Canaan melted away.{HR}
16Fear and dread fall upon them;{HR}By the greatness of thine arm they are still as a stone;{HR}Till thy people pass over, Jehovah,{HR}Till the people pass over that thou hast purchased.{HR}
17Thou shalt bring them in,{HR}And plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance,{HR}In the place, O Jehovah, which thou hast made for Thee to dwell in,{HR}In the sanctuary, O Jehovah, which thy hands have established.
18Jehovah shall reign forever and ever.

2For that leaders led in Israel,{HR}For that the people willingly offered themselves,{HR}Bless Jehovah!{HR}

6In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael,{HR}The roads were unused,{HR}And the travellers on highways went by crooked paths.{HR}
7The villages ceased in Israel,{HR}Ceased until that I Deborah arose,{HR}That I arose a mother in Israel.{HR}
8They chose new gods; then was war in the gates:{HR}Was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel?
9My heart is toward the governors of Israel,{HR}Who offered themselves willingly among the people.{HR}Bless Jehovah!{HR}
10Ye that ride on white she-asses,{HR}Ye that sit on carpets,{HR}And ye that walk by the way, consider.{HR}
11Because of the voice of those who divide the spoil{HR}In the midst of the places of drawing water;{HR}There they rehearse the righteous acts of Jehovah,{HR}His righteous acts toward his villages in Israel.{HR}Then the people of Jehovah went down to the gates.
12Awake, awake, Deborah! awake, awake, utter a song!{HR}Arise, Barak, and lead captive thy captives, thou son of Abinoam!{HR}
13Then come down, thou, the remnant of nobles, as his people;{HR}Jehovah! come down with me in the midst of the mighty ones.{HR}
14Out of Ephraim came those whose root was in Amalek;{HR}After thee was Benjamin among thy peoples.{HR}Out of Machir came down governors,{HR}And out of Zebulun they that handled the staff of the ruler.{HR}
15And the princes in Issachar were with Deborah;{HR}And Issachar, like Barak;{HR}They were sent into the valley at his feet.{HR}In the divisions of Reuben there were great resolves of heart!{HR}
16Why abodest thou among the sheepfolds,{HR}To hear the bleating of the flocks?{HR}In the divisions of Reuben there were great deliberations of heart!{HR}
17Gilead abode beyond Jordan;{HR}And Dan, why did he remain in ships?{HR}Asher sat on the sea-shore, And abode in his creeks.{HR}
18Zebulun is a people that jeoparded their lives unto death,{HR}Naphtali also, on the high places of the field.
19Kings came, —they fought;{HR}Then fought the kings of Canaan;{HR}At Taanach, by the waters of Megiddo;{HR}They took no spoil of silver.{HR}
20From heaven was the fight;{HR}The stars from their courses fought with Sisera.{HR}
21The torrent of Kishon swept them away,{HR}That ancient torrent, the torrent Kishon.{HR}My soul, thou hast trodden down strength!{HR}
22Then did the horse-hoofs clatter with the coursings,{HR}The coursings of their steeds.
23Curse Meroz, saith the Angel of Jehovah;{HR}Curse, curse the inhabitants thereof;{HR}For they came not to the help of Jehovah,{HR}To the help of Jehovah among the mighty.
24Blessed above women shall Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite be,{HR}Blessed above women in the tent!{HR}
25He asked water, she gave milk;{HR}In the nobles' bowl she brought forth cream.{HR}
26She put her hand to the tent-pin,{HR}And her right hand to the workmen's hammer;{HR}And she smote Sisera, she struck through his head,{HR}Shattered and pierced through his temples.{HR}
27Between her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay down:{HR}Between her feet he bowed, he fell;{HR}Where he bowed, there he fell, overcome.
28Them other of Sisera looketh out at the window,{HR}And crieth through the lattice,{HR}Why is his chariot so long in coming?{HR}Why tarry the trampings of his chariots?{HR}
29The wise amongst her ladies answer her,{HR}Yea, she returneth answer to herself,{HR}
30Have they not found, divided the booty,{HR}A damsel, two damsels, to each?{HR}A booty of dyed stuffs for Sisera,{HR}A booty of dyed stuffs of embroidery,{HR}Dyed stuff of double embroidery for the neck of a spoiler?
31So let all thine enemies perish, Jehovah!{HR}But let them that love him{HR}Be as the rising of the sun in its might. (Judg. 5:1‑31)

2There is none holy as Jehovah:{HR}For there is none beside thee:{HR}Neither is there any rock like our God.
3Talk no more so exceeding proudly;{HR}Let not arrogancy come out of your mouth:{HR}For Jehovah is a God of knowledge,{HR}And by him actions are weighed.
4The bows of the mighty men are broken,{HR}And they that stumbled are girded with strength.
5They that were full have hired out themselves for bread;{HR}And they that were hungry ceased:{HR}So that the barren hath born seven:{HR}And she that hath many children is waxed feeble.

7Jehovah maketh poor, and maketh rich:{HR}He bringeth low, and lifteth up.
8He raiseth up the poor out of the dust,{HR}And lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill,{HR}To set them among princes,{HR}And to make them inherit the throne of glory:{HR}For the pillars of the earth are Jehovah's,{HR}And He hath set the world upon them.
