Ironing and Wash

TODAY mother is busily ironing the fresh clothes. She could not iron the clothes until she had washed them, could she?
God also has an ironing day as well as a wash day. That is a wonderful day too. But it is for Christians only. It is for boys, girls, men, and women who have had their sins washed away.
Are your sins washed away? Is the Lord Jesus your Saviour?
The ironing takes place at the judgment seat of Christ. We have to wait patiently for that day because it takes place when every Christian is in Heaven. We give an account to God and we either win or lose rewards. Our lives shall be ironed out.
The works that we have done for the Lord’s glory are gold, silver, and precious stones and He shall reward us for them. But the works that we have done that grieve and displease the Lord are wood, hay, and stubble. They shall be burned, and we lose the rewards. (1 Cor. 3:11-16.)
So, if we live for the Lord every day, and tell Him how sorry we are when we are naughty, then He will forgive us. Then the ironing day will bring us more rewards to lay at our Lord’s feet.
We shall see Christ and be like Him then. Whatever rewards we win or lose, we shall be happy about it all. Everything is ironed out that day for all eternity.
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.” 2 Cor. 5:10.
