(laid waste). A Canaanite town in southern Judah (Josh. 15:30³⁰And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah, (Joshua 15:30); 1 Sam. 30:30³⁰And to them which were in Hormah, and to them which were in Chor-ashan, and to them which were in Athach, (1 Samuel 30:30)).
