A young man was preaching on the streets in London when an unbeliever came up and said, “The man who invented gas did more for the world than Jesus Christ.”
The young man could not answer him, and the crowd had the laugh on him. But another man got up and said, “Of course the man has a right to his opinion, and I suppose if he was dying he would send for the gasfitter, but I think I should send for someone to read the 14th chapter of John,” and he turned the laugh back on the man.
