(warm springs). (1) City in Asher (Josh. 19:28²⁸And Hebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, even unto great Zidon; (Joshua 19:28)). (2) Levitical city in Naphtali (1 Chron. 6:76⁷⁶And out of the tribe of Naphtali; Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, and Hammon with her suburbs, and Kirjathaim with her suburbs. (1 Chronicles 6:76)).

2. City in Naphtali allotted to the Levites (1 Chron. 6:76⁷⁶And out of the tribe of Naphtali; Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, and Hammon with her suburbs, and Kirjathaim with her suburbs. (1 Chronicles 6:76)). By comparing this list of Levitical cities with the one in Joshua 21, Hammon appears to be the same as HAMMOTH-DOR (Josh. 21:32³²And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, to be a city of refuge for the slayer; and Hammoth-dor with her suburbs, and Kartan with her suburbs; three cities. (Joshua 21:32)); and this, by the similarity of the name, appears to be the same as HAMMATH in Joshua 19:35³⁵And the fenced cities are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth, (Joshua 19:35).
