The
development of
life
in the
Christian
. He is born as a
babe,
he develops by the
use
of proper
spiritual
food and duly exercise, i.e., living in the
power
of the
new
life, into a
young
man
,
and eventually through the increased
knowledge
of
Christ
into a
father
(1 John 2). Growth is the direct result of feeding on Christ, and living
for
Mm. The
growth
is not the object before the mind, “But Christ”.
There
is a radical difference between “growth” and “puffing up”. The one implies an increase of humility, the
other
of pride.
