If your heart is average, it pumped over 660,000 gallons last year! The heart has long been a symbol of love. Love began before hearts were created. God says, “I have loved thee with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3). Perhaps the best known verse in God’s Word, the Bible, John 3:16, tells us, “God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God’s love to us made Him send His Son to pay the penalty for those who had rebelled against Him—sinners. God says, “All have sinned” (Romans 3:23). “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). In love He tells us to repent and believe Him. But love can be rejected by a proud rebel. How will you respond to God’s love?
