Going to Be a King

YOU may one day be a duke, but I am going to be a king,” said the elder son of the Duke of Hamilton to his younger brother, as he lay on his dying pillow.

Do you know why he was so sure of that? Not because he was a better boy than his brother, but because he had Christ.

“Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto His God and Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” Rev. 1:5-6⁵And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, ⁶And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. (Revelation 1:5‑6).
