Foreword
The effort of the enemy to harass and destroy the people of God and their testimony for Christ is increasingly intensified as we approach the end of the Church's history on earth. However, regardless of this, and in fact, because of it, God has revealed in His Word the remedy for victory over this condition, and enables faith thereby to overcome the evil and to maintain a testimony pleasing to Him while we await His return.
In the last chapter of his "Lectures on the Book of Judges," Bro. Samuel Ridout gives a summary of the various enemies of Israel in that dark period of their history. In their various deliverances, "Glimpses of Christ" are seen, and thus Christ is pointed out by the Spirit of God as the One in Whom triumph over any, and every, foe is achieved.
Believing it has a special lesson for the people of God in this day, we send it forth, prayerfully desiring God's blessing in turning many of His own to behold these "Glimpses of Christ" in simple faith, thereby experiencing victory over every foe for His glory.
