“Thou hast put gladness in my heart.” (Psa. 4:7).
Worldly joys put gladness into the face. The rich Corinthians “glory in the appearance, and not in heart” (2 Cor. 5:12); but the Spirit of God puts gladness into the heart; divine joys are heart joys.
“Their heart shall rejoice in the Lord.” (Zech. 10:7).
“Your heart shall rejoice.” (John 16:22).
