Put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.
We make provision for our final exams by studying for them. We make provision for our evening meal by cooking something. We make provision for the flesh by looking at or indulging in sinful things, or even thinking sinful thoughts. So the Lord tells us in His Word to not make provision for the flesh. If you feed the flesh (or the old nature), it will be more active and cause you to get into sin. Let’s make a special effort to feed the new nature and do those things that are pleasing in God’s sight.
