Don't Give It up

Luke 14:18¹⁸And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. (Luke 14:18); Romans 1:20²⁰For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (Romans 1:20)

If you have a good excuse, don’t give it up for anything I have said; don’t give it up for anything your mother may have said; don’t give it up for anything your friend may have said. Take it up to the bar of God and state it to Him. But if you have not got a good excuse — an excuse that will stand in eternity — let it go now and flee to the arms of a loving Saviour.
