Now we come to pure habits. God is holy and He wants all His people to be clean. In those days, remember, they were under law. Today we are under grace. God has come to earth in the Person of His dear Son. The Lord Jesus died on the cross, to cleanse us forever from all our sins. But now that we have received Christ as Savior, we are to keep clean in our life. Daily cleansing by the water (the Word of God) is necessary to keep us in communion with our Father (Eph. 5:26²⁶That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, (Ephesians 5:26)).
