Converted Through a Lamp

Listen from:
One night many years ago, while alone in her room, a lady’s lamp suddenly went out. Although she was alone, she said aloud, “There is no oil in the lamp!”
The words thus spoken sounded in her ears, but with a new sense. She recalled the parable of the Five Foolish Virgins, who had no oil, and from that moment that word of God rained in her soul, and influenced her to accept Christ. “Watch therefore; for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.” Matt. 25:1313Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. (Matthew 25:13).
“And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.... And they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.Matt. 25:6, 106And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. (Matthew 25:6)
10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. (Matthew 25:10)

Memory Verse: “LET THE WICKED FORSAKE HIS WAY, AND THE UNRIGHTEOUS MAN HIS THOUGHTS: AND LET HIM RETURN UNTO THE LORD, AND HE WILL HAVE MERCY UPON HIM.” Isa. 55:77Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:7).
