The Hebrew word is kesil, and is translated ORION in Job 9:9⁹Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. (Job 9:9); Job 38:31³¹Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? (Job 38:31) and Amos 5:8⁸Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name: (Amos 5:8). It is supposed to mean the same in Isaiah 13:10,¹⁰For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. (Isaiah 13:10) only there it is in the plural.
