Capítulos 4-22: Las cosas que han de ser después de estas

Esta tercera sección del libro de Apocalipsis trata de los acontecimientos que ocurrirán “después de estas”. Bien podemos preguntar: “¿Después de qué?”. La respuesta es: “Después de que la historia de la Iglesia en la tierra esté concluida”. Esto se confirma por el hecho de que la expresión frecuentemente repetida en los capítulos 2 y 3, “lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias”, ya no se menciona en el libro a partir de este punto en adelante. Esto se debe a que se considera que la Iglesia ha terminado su historia en la tierra y ha sido llamada al cielo.
El Arrebatamiento no se menciona directamente en la parte profética del libro
En los capítulos 4–5 se da por sentado que el Arrebatamiento (la venida del Señor por Sus santos; Juan 14:2-32In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (Jude 14‑15)) se menciona muchas veces en el libro (capítulos 1:7; 3:3; 10:1; 11:15; 14:14-16; 16:15-21; 18:21-24; 19:11-21).
En los capítulos 4 a 22, pasamos a las cosas que son estrictamente proféticas. Estos capítulos tienen que ver con los legítimos derechos de Cristo sobre la “herencia”, que es toda cosa creada en el cielo y en la tierra (capítulos 4–5). Estos capítulos también contienen muchos juicios que caerán sobre la tierra (capítulos 6–19), y el eventual reinado del Señor sobre todas las obras de Sus manos (capítulos 20–22).
