He that saw it bare record, and his record is true . . . he saith true, that ye might believe.
John saw everything that he wrote in his gospel. His record is true. It’s written from the viewpoint of Jesus as the Son of God. John’s account of the life of Jesus as a man shows Him as God’s Son in human form. It’s true. It really did happen. And John wants you to believe it. He was probably more in tune with Jesus than the other disciples, and he shares some things that the Lord did and said that are not recorded in Matthew, Mark or Luke. What a beautiful story - and it’s all true!
