(sitting). A favorite part of social enjoyment and religious festivity among Hebrews. The posture was usually sitting (Gen. 21:8; 40:208And the child grew, and was weaned: and Abraham made a great feast the same day that Isaac was weaned. (Genesis 21:8)
20And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.
