Ann Hasseltine

Listen from:
Ann Hasseltine who later, as Ann Judson, became a noble and heroic missionary, grew up full of liveliness amidst happy surroundings. At the age of seventeen, however, she became deeply convicted of the sinfulness of her heart. To obtain peace she commenced making good resolutions, but quickly found that by doing so she was endeavoring to obtain salvation by “works.” One day her scripture reading led her to Romans 4:55But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. (Romans 4:5): “To him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” These words revealed to her the only way of salvation: and a new and wonderful life in Christ had begun. And in that great Day, great numbers of Burma’s children will rise up and own that it was through her ministry they, too, were led to the Saviour.
