⁷And the cow and the she-bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
⁸And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the adder, and the weaned child shall put forth its hand to the viper's den.
⁹They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.
¹⁰And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, standing as a banner of the peoples: the nations shall seek it; and his resting-place shall be glory. (Isa. 11:1‑10)

²⁵Thus saith Jehovah: If my covenant of day and night stand not, if I have not appointed the ordinances of the heavens and the earth,
²⁶then will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my servant, so as not to take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will turn their captivity, and will have mercy on them. (Jer. 33:14‑16,20‑26)
