All the Way

ALL the way my Saviour leads me,
Step by step along the way,
Through a scene beset with trials,
On to heaven's eternal day.
Every moment as it passes,
'Neath His ever watchful eye,
Sending down His stores of mercy
From His treasury on high.
All the way His word directs me,
Through a dark and trackless scene,
As a lamp to guide my footsteps,
Where His blessed path has been.
Shining all along my pathway
Where so many snares abound;
There I learn to know His pleasure,
There it is His mind is found.
All the way His love sustains me,
Though my path be rough and long,
Every step He orders wisely,
I to Him, through grace belong.
Not a sorrow can befall me,
Not a heartache, or a sigh,
But He knows, and shares it with me,
As my Great High Priest on high.
All the way from earth to heaven,
He will guide me with His eye,
Till at last I'm safely sheltered
In the Father's house on high.
Then as I review His mercies,
And His ways of love retrace,
Through those long, eternal ages,
I shall praise Him face to face.
