Most of the information on Manuscripts and Texts from John Nelson Darby’s reliable “Introductory Notice” and “Revised Preface to Second Edition” (accompanied with a “List of Uncial... (and) Cursive Mss... (and) Ancient Versions”) found in the George Morrish edition of his Translation of the Bible.
Help was also given by Dr. Harry Sturz, Associate Professor of Greek, Biola College, and Dr. Everett F. Harrison, Professor of New Testament, Fuller Seminary.
The cooperation of Dr. Arnold D. Ehlert, Head Librarian of Biola College and Talbot Theological Seminary also is much appreciated.
As many Bibles and Testaments were not to be found in local libraries (“Biola” and “Fuller”) further information was obtained from the following sources: “British and Foreign Bible Society Centennial Report” (1803-1903) at Huntington Library.
“Thousand Book of Tongues” (1937): American Bible Society.
“Historical Catalog of Printed English Bible Society” (1525-1961).
“The English Bible in America” (1777-1957); American Bible Society (1962).
“British Museum General Catalog of Printed Books,” Vol. 3 (1967 edition).
Information on Forthcoming Translations from American Bible Society, New York City, (1969).
