Listen from:
It was once a city great and high,
Against which a prophet of God did cry.
Its people on hearing his solemn word,
Repented of sin and turned to the Lord.

A Man of Prayer
A man of prayer in olden time,
Of honorable name,
Who asked that God might bless and keep
From every evil claim;
That God would still his coast extend,
And by His hand himself defend.
Who was the man? Where did he live?
His history and his service give.
Answer found in 1 Chronicles 4.
27 Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?
How my Saviour loves me,
He rose again for me,
That I might live with Him in heaven
For all eternity.
