2 Thessalonians 2

Listen from:
Jesus is coming soon to gather together the Christians who know Him as Lord and Savior. Then God will begin to judge the world which hates the Savior. The day of the Lord begins with these seven years of judgments. The Thessalonian Christians thought the day of the Lord had already come because they were suffering great persecution. The Spirit of God will only let the wicked do some bad things and only for a little while until the Lord will gather together the Christians to heaven. Then the Spirit of God will be taken out of the way and the “man of sin,” or “the wicked,” will be revealed to the world. This is the Antichrist. He is a very bad man. He will do miracles through the power of Satan and people will think he is God. People will pray to him, but he is not God. If you have heard the gospel but refused to admit you are a sinner and you have not believed on the Lord Jesus, you will believe the lies of the devil. You and all unbelievers and the Antichrist will be damned to eternal hell. So you better get saved right now, because after the Lord comes, you will not have a second chance to be saved. The Christians will not be on earth during this tribulation time and they will not be judged with the Antichrist nor damned with the unbelievers. Paul thanks the Lord that God chose some to be saved. He tells us to “stand fast.” This means to be strong or be firm and hold on to the truth that you have been taught. This will establish us to serve the Lord in every good word and work.
