124. The Believer Shall Never Die

“E. M.,” Kentish Town. John 11:25-2625Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? (John 11:25‑26) sets forth the blessed truth, that in reference to all who are united to Christ by faith, death is abolished, and life and immortality brought to light. In the old creation, man belongs to death; but in the new creation, death belongs to man (1 Cor. 3:2222Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; (1 Corinthians 3:22)). What a difference! “Whosoever liveth, and believeth in Me, shall never die.” Precious assurance!
