14Porque vosotros, hermanos, habéis sido imitadores de las iglesias de Dios en Cristo Jesús que están en Judea; pues habéis padecido también vosotros las mismas cosas de los de vuestra propia nación, como también ellos de los Judíos;

;
6Mas no hallándolos, trajeron á Jasón y á algunos hermanos á los gobernadores de la ciudad, dando voces: Estos que alborotan el mundo, también han venido acá;

6Porque es justo para con Dios pagar con tribulación á los que os atribulan;
(2 Ts. 1:4‑6)
 Flesh would weary, murmur, recant, and turn aside from the truth which entailed such sorrow. Faith sees Christ, gives God thanks, perseveres at all cost, and grows by the exercise. (On 1 Thessalonians 3 by W. Kelly)

for also, when we were with you, we told you beforehand we are about to bee in tribulation, even as also it came to pass, and ye know.)

e
Or "we are to be," that is, such is the lot of Christians; but "told you beforehand" seems to make it applicable to the Thessalonians. I suspect both were in the apostle's mind; but it is added to ver. 3, and not the repetition of it.

W. Kelly Translation
