Frozen water or snow. God demanded of Job, “Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?” It is answered in the Psalms; it is God who “casteth forth His ice like morsels: who can stand before His cold?” (Job 6:1616Which are blackish by reason of the ice, and wherein the snow is hid: (Job 6:16); Job 38:2929Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
